Reed Construction, Inc. was established by David and Lori Reed in April 1997, with a strong commitment to continuous growth in the construction industry. Their journey began with the construction of a 2,000 sq ft workshop and gradually expanded as they acquired the necessary equipment to operate a Custom Cabinet Shop. Initially focusing on custom cabinetry, custom trim work, and old-style restorations, they gained expertise in working on numerous historic residential and commercial properties in Tangipahoa Parish.

In the late 1990s, their focus shifted towards “new construction,” leading to a busy period of residential additions, garages, outbuildings, and office build-outs. Obtaining their Louisiana Residential Building Contractors License in early 2000, they embarked on building custom homes while managing multiple projects and earning a growing reputation. This progress allowed them to successfully bid on small commercial projects, culminating in the acquisition of their Louisiana Commercial Building Construction License in 2004.

Over the years, Reed Construction has built an extensive portfolio of custom homes in Tangipahoa, Livingston, and St. Tammany Parishes, as well as small office buildings, apartments, commercial additions, and the development of two subdivisions. Their track record boasts numerous highly satisfied customers, ranging from small-scale projects to impressive 7,500 sq ft custom-built homes.

David Reed, President & General Contractor, has played a significant role in the industry. He served as the President of the Tangipahoa Home Builders Association for two consecutive terms, and served on the Board of Directors for years. Additionally, he contributed to the Green Building Committee of the Louisiana Home Builders Association. With the recent merger of Tangipahoa and St. Tammany Home Builders, forming the new Northshore Home Builders Association, he eagerly anticipates the future and is currently the chairperson for the remodeling committee. David takes a hands-on approach, frequently visiting project sites to ensure the day-to-day operations of turning your dreams into reality.

Lori Reed, Secretary & Treasurer, plays a vital role in office management, marketing, scheduling, ordering, and coordinating all project aspects with their valued customers. She stays up-to-date with the latest trends in custom building and offers assistance with design matters. Additionally, Lori serves as the perfect liaison between customers and their financial institutions. She is always responsive, ready to answer emails or calls promptly.
